Our story
Sinju Memorial Hospital began with a promise made in Tiko in December 1998. Where our family home once stood, a small dispensary tried to meet a need far greater than it could hold. That need, quality care close to home for everyone, became our mission.
Named in memory of Paul Sinju, the hospital was founded by a group of healthcare professionals and community advocates who refused to accept that families should have to leave home, or go without, to receive care. Today, Sinju Memorial Hospital is open and serving patients in Tiko, and registered in the United States as a 501(c)(3) public charity so that supporters here and abroad can give with confidence.

A registered, accountable nonprofit
Sinju Memorial Hospital is a U.S. 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity (EIN 39-4625954), governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and led by an Executive Director and department heads. We operate on a January-December fiscal year and conduct an annual audit or independent financial review.
Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law.
